are you smellin it in your bones when youre home you’re alone on your own you can tell that it it’s making its way to you now and it’s sneaking right up your spine it’s a sinister glare in the air and your hair raises up your arms but you won’t be harmed a familiar fear that something is headed your way and the day it is coming near and you can’t help but feel just a little bit of your excitement now cause you know that no matter what happens it’s gonna be fun somehow and anyhow haunted houses ghosts and ghouls howling in the streets paint and makeup you can fool everyone you meet something wicked this way comes when the leaves turn brown and the wind makes a chilly gusts rattle the trees all throughout the town and you have to grab onto your favorite sweater but have no fear cause all the fun holidays follow this one and they’re coming near it’s that time of year and it’s in my bones like the skeletons playing their ribs making chimes like xylophones and the black cat’s that arch on the fences and they look electrical stack the pumpkins and witches and scarecrows admire the spectacle it’s magical and any other holiday just pales when you compare Halloween will reign supreme so let’s have us a scare knock hey are you home trick or treating we have bags to fill candy for eating trouble in the streets little vampires ring all of the bells put down the fires (see what transpires) howling at the moon on a hayride sipping on some brew by the fireside nothing else comes close to this feeling we love halloween and we MEAN IT something wicked this way comes

Pretty little kitty on the highest branch of Halloween tree won’t you climb on down and do that black cat shuffle with me we can swing our tails we can clap our paws wiggle our ears and snap our claws we’ll do the black cat shuffle cause it really is the cat’s meow cozy on up to your favorite scratching post then we can chase the little birdies do some catnip and lose control we’ve got the thickest milk and the finest fish served up warm on a tuna dish then we can black cat shuffle cause it really is the cat’s meow when the clock strikes one and the moon is yellow and bright and all the sassy little trick-or-treaters head on home for the night we’ll have ourselves some pumpkin bog sashay past the ol junkyard dog and do the black cat shuffle cause it really is the cat’s the cat scratch tuffle on the witch’s hats the black cat shuffle cause it really is the cat’s meow

ever since i was a little baby i can say that i was crazy for this day so every day that’s in between it every second every minute every hour that i’m in it’s just another minute standing between me and halloween you could make the argument that valuable time is spent when dreaming of a pumpkin or the sound of falling leaves but let me paint thee a small picture of a happy little kid who’s got a paper bag that’s full of candy, hey that kid is me! so i’m packin the expansion for my hallow kingdom mansion decking out the haunted walls and halls we can do the monster mash in with brooms and hats and the feral cats leaning on their posts howling at the bats going flap flap flap while the bones relax in the coffins where theyr’e nappin’ kisses for the halloqueen the mistress of the twilight strike a match and light that candle burning up to midnight if that carriage turns into a pumpkin we know we’ll be alright with some cauldron ale as the goblins wail and the spirits take their flight

on top of mount smokey all covered with mud there lives an old vampire who’ll suck all your blood he sleeps in a coffin, he wears a silk robe he plays with the spiders, he has a pet toad when mary had that little lamb whose fleece was white as snow that old vampire desired her but little did she know he followed her to school one day which was against the rules it made the children laugh and play to see a bat at school on top of mount smokey the fog is so thick you can’t reach his mansion the stones are too slick but he’ll fly down to you trespassers beware he stalks you at nighttime drag you to his lair and if you see this old vampire at night I guarantee It very well will be the last thing that you’ll ever see! on top of mount smokey all covered with mud there lives an old vampire who’ll suck all your blood He rests in his mansion His fingers are long He’s reaching out to me… That’s the end of this song
